I’m honoured to be member of the Modern Art Orchestra. Since the very beginning Kornél Fekete-Kovács (leader of the band) always encouraged me to write my own music, it took me time to achieve this. Besides playing trombone, I always liked to try new instruments, playing jazz without the safety net of any technical abilities. Like bouncing on the edge without knowing if you’ll fall the next moment - that's jazz I guess!

If you listen to the album it will be clear that I’m addicted to early jazz. The tittle song Swingin' on the Danube is a reconsideration of an old song recorded by Frankie Trumbauer’s Orchestra back in the 20s. The Concerto is here to spotlight my latest “toy” (weight 8 kgs) my Bass Saxophone. The bonus track is my arrangement of a jazz standard by Irving Berlin, one of my all time favourites.
